WILL PACKER Media x Peacock: HBCU Homecoming Documentary

Bryndan D. Moore with FAMU First Lady Sharon Robinson, and daughter.

I am proud to serve as Associate Producer on the HBCU Homecoming documentary “The Return, An HBCU Homecoming Experience,” Executive produced by Will Packer and Ali Muhammad.

The documentary series highlights the beauty and importance of Historically Black Colleges and Universities’ (HBCUs) Homecoming celebrations as centers of Black professional’s relationships.

“The Global pandemic put a pause on most large scale activities and sent students into virtual learning. 2021 Marked a return to campuses and the traditions that they hold. In the HBCU world, the biggest of these traditions is Homecoming; an annual pilgrimage that brings thousands together for a week-long reunion and celebration.

This series explores the HBCU experience through their stories.”

Over the course of this 3-part HBCU Homecoming documentary series we explore the experiences of alumni and students (cinéma vérité style) as they participate in their Homecoming celebrations. Their stories are intertwined as one combined experience. The result is an entertaining, yet unobtrusive look into what it feels like to experience an HBCU Homecoming.
